I’m a software engineer and a core maintainer of OpenFGA, a CNCF incubating project for fine-grained authorization. My work spans the server, CLI, SDKs across multiple languages, documentation and more. A lot of it is unglamorous: keeping things consistent, reviewing other people’s work carefully, and making sure the project is easy to contribute to.

I’m deeply passionate about Free and Open Source Software. I care for knowledge shared freely, software you can study and change, and communities built without profit as the organizing motive. I tend toward open protocols and keeping data where it belongs. By leaning toward OSS and independent initiatives, I want to prove to myself before anyone else that an independent world built on empathy and sharing, free of greed and corporate control, is possible.

I don’t have much patience for the parts of tech built around hype rather than usefulness. Whether it’s influencers on Instagram, or crypto and most of what’s currently being marketed as revolutionary AI: a lot of noise, real harm, and not much that I’d want to defend.
